Single vehicle accidents resulting in the death of the driver are usually a result of misjudgement or driver error, Alabama attorney Keith T. Belt says
A Bay Minette woman died this morning in a single-vehicle accident on Ala. 59, which occurred about three miles north of Bay Minette in Baldwin County, Alabama. Amy Turner Kreis, 68, died after being ejected from her 2008 Nissan Sentra at 7:15 a.m.
Kreis was ejected from the car when the vehicle ran off the road overturning and at the time she was not wearing a seat belt when the crash took place. She was pronounced dead while being transported to the University of South Alabama Medical Center in Mobile.
Accidents like this underscore the importance of buckling up as soon as you enter a vehicle, since countless lives and injuries can be avoided when the occupants of cars are properly restrained. No matter how careful a driver you are something unavoidable can occur to the best of drivers and a simple act, like buckling up, may save their life.
