2 Pell City residents killed in vehicle accident
Two Pell City residents were killed and two injured in a single-vehicle accident in Etowah County Tuesday night. Apparently Wallace Grant was driving north on U.S. 11, but due to a medical condition, the victim drove his 2004 Chevrolet Silverado off the roadway and overturned it causing the accident.
The victims were identified as Wallace Grant, 59, and Rita Jane Wright Grant, 52, both of Pell City in a crash that occurred at about 9:20 p.m. near Attalla, at mile marker 189.3 on U.S. 11. Additionally injured in the accident were Virginia Lynn Grant, 17, and Emma Grant, 2 weeks old, both of Pell City, who were transported to Gadsden Regional Medical Center.

Woman dies in motorcycle accident
A Pell City resident died Sunday evening in a crash of a motorcycle and an SUV on Winnataska Road. 31-year-old Suzanne Maddox, of Pell City, died Sunday at approximately 5:30 p.m., when the 2000 Suzuki Intruder motorcycle she was traveling on collided with a 2000 Ford Expedition driven by Mark Pate, a 46-year-old Pell City resident, who was not injured.
Issac Bowman, a 32-year-old Pell City resident, was also traveling on the Intruder, and was transported to Trinity Medical Center in Birmingham. His condition was unavailable.

Pell City man dies following Tuesday accident; woman injured
A Pell City man, identified as Charles Alan Marquardt, 51, 206 Funderburg Bend Road, died Wednesday, and a woman was released from a Birmingham hospital after sustaining injuries in a head-on collision Tuesday night on Stemley Bridge Road. The accident happened on Stemley Bridge Road, near the Dan Bowie Drive intersection at approximately 6:55 p.m.
Sandra W. Shepard, 61, 3708 Parks Road, Pell City, was also transported to UAB Hospital Tuesday night by ambulance after sustaining injuries in the two-vehicle accident and was released from UAB Hospital Wednesday.
It appears that Marquardt, who was driving a 1999 Ford F250 pickup truck, was traveling east on Alabama 34 (Stemley Bridge Road) when he crossed the center line and collided head-on with the 2004 Chevrolet Avalanche Shepard was driving west on Alabama 34.
